Speech and language therapy provides treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.

The career focused event is aimed at people interested in a career in speech and language therapy and who want to learn more about the profession.

Gail Silcock, Speech and Language Therapist at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “Choosing a career is one of life’s big decisions, so it’s worth finding out as much as you can. Our event will provide a great opportunity for people to find out more about the wide range of roles within speech and language therapy and what speech and language therapists do. Attendees will also gain an attendance certificate that can be provided for admissions tutors at speech and language therapy course interviews.”

The session will be hosted by speech and language therapists and will include pre-planned video, case discussions and time for questions.

Limited places are available for the free careers event, which is open to people living in the Bradford area.

The event will be held at Library Meeting Room (LG03), Undercliffe Health Care Centre, 17 Lowther Street Bradford, BD2 4RA from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
