Our services
Oakburn Ward – Lynfield Mount Hospital
About the service
We are an inpatient ward providing care for males aged 18-65 who are experiencing an acute mental illness.
Following an assessment and diagnosis the team on this ward will support you with an individualised recovery based care and support plan. Our multidisciplinary team which includes consultants, registered mental health nurses, healthcare support workers and occupational therapists, will work with you so that you are ready to transfer out of hospital or be discharged from mental health services.
From October 2024 all our in-patient sites became smoke free facilities.
How to access
We welcome referrals from our intensive home treatment team or following a Mental Health Act assessment.
Visiting information
Please note all visits must be booked in advance on the ward.
Monday to Sunday, 2.00pm – 4.00pm and 6.00pm – 8.00pm
We politely ask visitors not to visit during mealtimes (please contact the ward to find out the times of mealtimes). Children are welcome to visit, however this must be agreed with ward staff in advance.
