About the service

We are an inpatient ward providing psychiatric intensive care for adults over 18 detained under the mental health act. We are based on site at Lynfield Mount Hospital.

We will support you with an individualised recovery based care and support plan. During your time on the ward you will have access to regular one-to-one sessions with members of our multidisciplinary team which includes consultant psychiatrists, registered mental health nurses, healthcare support workers and psychologists.

From October 2024 all our in-patient sites became smoke free facilities.

How to access

We welcome referrals from mental health care providers (including in-patient units, bed managers, crisis / home treatment teams, approved mental health professionals) and commissioners.

If you wish to make a referral please telephone a member of our clinical team to discuss your needs. We will aim to respond to your request within one hour following consideration by our clinical team.
