Posted: Thursday, 14 July 2016
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear how health visitors promote the health and wellbeing of families with children under the age of five.
The provider of mental health, community health and specialist learning disability services will be hosting the event on Thursday 28 July, 12.30pm-2pm at Mind the Gap.
Cathy Woffendin, Deputy Director of Nursing, Children’s and Specialist Services, said: “At the talk we will discuss the wide range of support, advice and practical guidance health visitors provide on all aspects of a child’s development and family health; from breastfeeding support and immunisation advice to preventing minor illnesses and support for parents to be into parenthood.”
Before the talk, the Trust’s ‘Board on the Road’ meeting will take place at 10am. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting. During the meeting, the Board will hear about how patient experience is making an impact and helping to shape future services, and how the Care Trust is performing in a range of areas.
Board Papers, including the agenda for the Board meeting, will be available on the Trust’s website from Monday 25 July. You can view these at: https://www.bdct.nhs.uk/board-papers
The Trust’s Governors will be on hand to hear your views about the Trust’s services.
