This year also welcomed our new Living Our Values awards; an opportunity to shine a light on staff from every area of our Trust, who are doing great work in their role, whilst demonstrating one of our three Trust values: We Care; We Listen; We Deliver.

Our monthly Living Our Values award winners included:

March award winners

Our monthly award winners for March included Leah Callaway, Associate Practitioner who won the ‘We Deliver’ category; Hena Afzal, a Team Manager in Clinical Admin services who won the ‘We Listen’ category; and Serena O’Hara, District Nurse for the ‘We Care’ category.

April award winners

April saw Jo Taylor, Team Leader Homeless and New Arrivals, scoop the ‘We Care’ category; Lorna Dunsire, Occupational Therapist Lead for Acute Mental Health was crowned the winner of the ‘We Deliver’ category; and Elizabeth Witt, Senior Dentist was announced as the winner of the ‘We Listen’ category.

May award winners

In May Ana de la Fuente Herrero, Counselling for Depression Supervisor at MyWellbeing College won the coveted title of ‘We Listen’ category; Mina Mistry, Administrator Physical Health Admin Team was the winner of the ‘We Care’ category; and Katie Harrison, Community Psychiatric Nurse in CAMHS, won the ‘We Deliver’ category.

June award winners

June award winners included Joanne Squires, Clinical Lead for High Intensity Therapy, My Wellbeing College, in the ‘We Listen’ category; Lyndsey Myers, Activity Coordinator, Heather Ward in the ‘We Deliver’ category; and Jamie Lindo, Telecoach, First Response Team in the ‘We Care’ category.

July award winners included Linzi Maybin, Dentist, in the ‘We Listen’ category; Out of Hours District Nursing team in the ‘We Deliver’ category; and last but not least Liam Hagerty, Physical Health Admin team in the ‘We Care’ category.

Overall Living Our Values award winners

Serena O'hara - We Care winnerAt You’re a Star Awards 2019, three overall winners were chosen from each category, these included:

Serena O’Hara

Serena O’Hara, District Nurse for the ‘We Care’ category, who had gone above and beyond to give outstanding care to a frail elderly patient. She was nominated by her team leader Sarah Horsfall and set the bar in March as being the first ‘We Care’ award winner.

Hena Afzal - We Listen overall winnerHena Afzal

Hena Afzal, a Team Manager in Clinical Admin services won the ‘We Listen’ category and was nominated by Catherine Jones, Admin Supervisor. This was because Hena always has time for anyone, encouraging and enabling staff to grow and develop in their own ways, whilst listening carefully to any ideas presented to her.

Katie Harrison - We Deliver winnerKatie Harrison

Katie Harrison, Community Psychiatric Nurse in CAMHS, won the ‘We Deliver’ category and was nominated by Rachel Voller Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Katie works in a highly demanding area, providing high quality, compassionate care to young people and families often in crisis. She introduced a much-needed programme both in CAMHS and for the transitional age group, working in conjunction with the Helios centre.
