Obtaining approval for your project

Is it Research, Clinical Audit or Service Evaluation?

Only research projects should follow the guidance on this page. This information should be used in conjunction with the Trust’s Registration and project authorisation approval procedure

To determine whether your project is a research project, use this Guidance table

Projects that are Clinical Audit or Service Evaluation should be registered with the Trust Clinical Audit Department.

All research projects must be registered with the Heath Research Authority (HRA) Details on how to apply for their approval can be found here https://www.hra.nhs.uk/approvals-amendments/what-approvals-do-i-need/

After HRA approval has been gained the Trust will issue approval and confirmation of our capability and capacity.
