Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
Guidance
Everyone involved in the conduct of clinical research must have training to ensure they are best prepared to carry out their duties. This is laid down in the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research for Health and Social Care, covering all research in the NHS in England, and in law for those people working on clinical trials. For more information about GCP training and legislation see the NIHR website including details of courses and dates and online training
It is recommended that initial GCP Introductory Training should be undertaken at a facilitated session, with the on-line course and refresher courses recommended (and mandatory to ensure maintenance of GCP status) every two years. Refresher courses will be advertised at the site above.
