Care Trust and Council Join National Project to Improve Mental Health Services
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Council have signed up to a national project to improve mental health support across the district.
Both organisations have agreed to be part of a Department of Health initiative, ‘Social Work for Better Mental Health Project’, which aims to improve the quality of specialist mental health social care in the district that is provided by mental health social workers from both the Care Trust and the Council.
The project aims to help practitioners and organisations find ways of providing better support and care for those with mental health issues, their families, carers and friends. It also aims to support staff through new legislation and policies, such as the Care Act 2014, and improve working practices.
More details are available on Bradford Council’s website.
