Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has welcomed local man, Christopher Malish, as Non-Executive Director (NED) to its Board of Directors.

A resident of Bingley, Christopher will be staying local and he brings a valuable personal and professional perspective to the Trust role, whose services cover Bradford, Wharfedale, Airedale and Craven. He joins as Andrew Chang steps down, after completing his three-year term as NED with the Trust.

Christopher brings considerable senior-level experience to his new position on the Board, starting with his current role as the vice principal for finance and corporate services for Bradford College. This follows eight years at the University of Bradford, most recently as the interim director of finance, after progressing through a range of senior finance roles.

Christopher Malish, Non-Executive Director at the Trust, said: “I am thrilled to be a joining the Board and I am looking forward to working with the Executive team, to continue driving service improvements for local people. I am really passionate about supporting the local community having lived in Bradford for the last seventeen years, and I have a deep loyalty to the communities that are served by the Trust.”

Christopher began his career in the financial services sector where he spent ten years working for global banking businesses, including Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance, before moving into education.

Dr Linda Patterson, Chair of the Trust, said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Christopher to our Trust. His extensive public service experience will bring greater richness to Board discussions and provide further value to the high-quality services the Trust delivers. I very much look forward to working with him as he takes up his new role.”
