The UK has some of the lowest Breastfeeding rates in the world. We’re seeking to address this in our area by putting our Bradford District Breastfeeding Strategy into practice, to encourage breastfeeding and enable everyone to play their part in supporting local breastfeeding mums. Delivering our Feeding Bradford’s Babies training is part of this work.

What is the Feeding Bradford’s Babies training?

Feeding Bradford’s Babies is a 2.5 hour training which covers:

  • why breastfeeding is so important
  • information about breast and bottle feeding and the parent infant relationship
  • sources of further support.

The training does not cover how to give direct breastfeeding support.

Who should attend?

Staff who work with families with babies or young children in organisations within Bradford District. The training is mandatory for anyone employed in the Family Hubs as it forms part of the Family Hub Baby Friendly Accreditation.
