For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, people from across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven are invited to attend an in-person joint Annual Members’ Meeting and staff celebration event, hosted by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The event will be held on Thursday 21 September from 11.45am to 4.00pm at Kala Sangam, BD1 4TY in the centre of Bradford.

The meeting is a valuable opportunity for people to come together with their local governors, put questions to the Trust Board of Directors and learn more about the work services have carried out for local communities over the past 12 months. These service areas include learning disabilities, mental health, community healthcare and children’s services.

The Care Trust will be launching the new refreshed strategy: Better Lives, Together to shape the future of the next three years.  On the day there will also be a celebration event to recognise the hard work of Care Trust staff over the last year. The event will be a chance for staff to celebrate their achievements and get recognition based on awards they have received in the Trust over the last year.

The formal meeting will run from 2.00pm – 3.00pm. Prior to this, attendees will have the opportunity to walk around and explore stalls and meet Care Trust staff, who will be showcasing some of the key work they have been involved in over the last year.

Phillipa Hubbard, Interim Chief Executive at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust said: “As an organisation, we are delighted to be inviting local people back to an in-person Annual Members’ Meeting, after two years. We’re excited to be able to share the fantastic work that’s been going on across our services this year, alongside our new refreshed Trust strategy. It’s an important opportunity to hear the views of our communities too.”

Members of the public who wish to attend, or who cannot attend but would like to submit questions to the Board, can email ft@bdct.nhs.uk. Responses to questions raised will be published at www.bdct.nhs.uk after the event.
