Care Trust nurses awarded prestigious Queen’s Nurse title
Four nurses from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust Adult’s services received the prestigious Queen’s Nurse title: Louise Parker, District Nurse; Angie Manson, Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner; and Clare Newhouse and Katie Blackburn, both operational managers for Unplanned Care.
The Children’s services at the Trust are also celebrating three of their team who were awarded the honour: Kathryn Callaghan, Lead Nurse for Workforce Resilience; and Nicola Barrett and Saiqa Kauser, both service managers.
The Queen’s Nursing Institute, the oldest nursing charity in the world, is a registered charity dedicated to improving the nursing care of people in the home and in the community.
Nursery Nurse of the Year announced
A Nursery Nurse from Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has been named Nursery Nurse of the Year at the Community Practitioners and Health Visitors Association (CPHVA) awards.
The CPHVA awards are an annual celebration of community health workers and nurses.
Michelle Broady, Children’s Services Volunteer Coordinator at the Care Trust, won the award after a colleague nominated her for the leadership and courage she shows in her role.
Best Local Oral Health Initiative North
The Bradford Babies Brush programme has been awarded the Best Local Oral Health Initiative North at the Clinical Dentistry Awards 2022.
ROSPA Gld Award for Health and Safety
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised for the fourteenth year running for its occupational health and safety by the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accident (RoSPA). For the eighth consecutive year, the Care Trust achieved the gold award at the internationally recognised scheme.
IPS Grow Quality Kite Mark
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is the first trust in the North of England to be awarded the new IPS Grow Quality Kite Mark, for helping people experiencing mental ill health get back to work.
The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Service, known as ‘Making Work, Work’, has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating under the IPS Grow Quality Kite Mark, which replaces the ‘Centre of Excellence’ title, following the IPS Grow external Fidelity review.
